Πριν λίγες μέρες κυκλοφόρησε ο 3ος τόμος των κλασικων βιβλίων των Sprung και Delbeek… οι προηγούμενοι τόμοι ήταν βιβλία-σταθμοί και από ότι φαίνεται το ίδιο γίνεται και με αυτό καθώς οι κριτικές είναι διθυραμβικές! Αν σκεφτούμε ότι στο χώρο του θαλασσινού ενυδρείου τα πράγματα αλλάζουν σχετικά γρήγορα ένα καλό καινούργιο βιβλίο είναι απαραίτητο:

I've just finished my first of several, if not many, reads of this fine book. Through bleary eyes, I'm inspired to pen my first review of any Amazon product because of it

No doubt, numerous other hobbyists will praise this work for a number of reasons. I'll add my kudos here just the same for a fabulous book that would stand easily on its own merit, regardless.

My first impression on seeing this third volume was that aesthetically it builds on the great reputation of the two benchmark volumes that preceded it. But after a good read, the quality of content even exceeds my high hopes and expectations as an aquarist for what I expected the book to be. In a word, "value."

This book is a tome of current, useful and comprehensive information that pound for pound - literally, on this beefy text - and, most importantly, with regard for quality of content, is an incredible value.

Considering that most hobbyists cannot afford to buy all new works in print, we must make consumer decisions on "best value" for our purchases.

Take my advice... a thorough read (and rereads) of this work will pay dividends on time saved, quality of live(stock) improved, and enjoyment above all on the science and pleasure of keeping reef aquarium life. With kind regards, Anthony Calfo

Παρέλαβα το βιβλίο προχθές από Premium Aquatics αφού έχει Stock και άμεση αποστολή και είμαι πραγματικά ενθουσιασμένος

Το βιβλίο είναι πραγματικά καινούργιο, σύγχρονο και φαίνεται! Ότι αναλύεται μέσα βασίζεται στις πιο νέες θεωρίες και πρακτικές και λαμβάνουν υπόψη τους τις τελευταίες τάσεις στον εξοπλισμό κτλ Είναι χαρακτηριστικό ότι στις διάφορες Photos και αναφορές βλέπουμε εξοπλισμό και μοντέλα που τώρα αγοράζουμε! Κάτι σπάνιο σε βιβλίο... Είναι ένα μεγάλο, πυκνογραμμένο βιβλίο που αναλύει σε βάθος την Επιστήμη, τον Eξοπλισμό και την τέχνη του reef και πραγματικά καλύπτει και τους πιο έμπειρους χομπυστες αφού αναλύονται όλες οι σύγχρονες θεωρίες και τάσεις αλλά και καταρρίπτονται θεωρίες του παρελθόντος (με ένα ξεφύλλισμα ας πούμε διάβασα ότι σε ένα ενυδρείο με ζωντανή άμμο δεν είναι καν απαραίτητος ο ζωντανός βράχος οπότε δεν ισχύουν και τα περί συγκεκριμένου ποσοστού)… Επίσης είναι ένα βιβλίο που ΔΕΝ καταναλώνει σελίδες αναλύοντας profile ψαριών, κοραλλιών κτλ τα οποία είναι μεν σημαντικά αλλά και αναφέρονται σχεδόν σε όλα τα άλλα βιβλία αλλά υπάρχουν και εξειδικευμένα βιβλία γι αυτό το θέμα.

Πραγματικά πιστεύω ότι το βιβλίο αυτό είναι το πρώτο από τα ΣΥΓΧΡΟΝΑ κλασσικά βιβλία και θα αλλάξει πολλές αντιλήψεις για το Reef μας και το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα!
